Meet Dr Stuart Lawrence
Stuart’s path into chiropractic started early. After a rugby accident at age nine, his family tried a few options without much progress—until a conversation with his grandparents introduced them to chiropractic. That moment stuck with him, and by age 13, Stuart knew exactly what he wanted to do. (This was also around the time he picked up a pretty unique hobby: breeding rare lizards and amphibians.)
Today, Stuart brings that same curiosity, focus, and care into every appointment—helping people feel more comfortable in their bodies and more confident in their day-to-day lives.
Education, Training, and Ongoing Learning
Stuart studied at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (associated with Portsmouth University), where he completed:
- BSc (Hons) Biological Science
- BSc (Hons) Radiology and Radiography (taking and interpreting X-rays)
- Master’s Degree in Chiropractic
He also completed further professional training, including a Certificate in Extremity Chiropractic and a Diploma in International Chiropractic Sports Science.
Because he genuinely loves learning, Stuart later earned a Master’s degree at Sheffield University in Chemical Engineering, with a focus on safety, risk prevention, and high-stakes systems—skills that translate well into careful, thorough clinical thinking.
More recently, Stuart expanded his work to include animal chiropractic, completing the Options for Animals diploma. That means he now supports both human patients (since 1999) and “furry patients” (since 2018).

Stuart’s Approach
You’ll be cared for like family here. Stuart is known for being approachable, happy, and friendly, with a touch of quirky humour (plus questionable fashion choices and an unpredictable music playlist). Most importantly, he aims to help you build a better quality of life—so you can get back to doing what you enjoy, with less limitation.
Outside the Clinic
Outside of work, Stuart enjoys calisthenics (a game-changer for his old rugby injuries), fishing for a bit of quiet (even if nothing bites), travelling with his roof tent, and conservation work for reptiles and amphibians—where he’s also one of the largest breeders in Europe.
Fun fact: Stuart was the first person in the UK to successfully and repeatedly breed two critically endangered day gecko species from Réunion Island.
