What is Chiropractic?

The spine is important because it houses the nervous system, which is the master controller of the body. When the spinal joints aren’t moving properly, the nervous system is affected. This is important because the nervous system controls and regulates every single cell in your body, and therefore reduced function of the nervous system results in reduced function of the body and negative health implications.

Can Chiropractic help me?

Chiropractic has been shown to help many different conditions. We have listed below some of the common conditions that have brought people to Hockley Chiropractic Clinic.

What to Expect?
Initial consultation (Approx 40 minutes)

The main objective of your first visit is for us to diagnose your condition and establish if Chiropractic can help you. To enable us to achieve this we will ask you to explain the symptoms and discomfort that you have been experiencing. This will help us to form a thorough case history of your problem. Once your Chiropractor has all the details that they need, a full examination will be performed which will include neurological examination, orthopaedic examination and a Chiropractic examination. (You will be asked to wear a medical gown for this examination). Your Chiropractor will assess if x-rays are necessary and if they are required then they will be taken at this point using our on site digital x-ray system.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Treatment Painful?

No. Adjustment procedures are chosen for each patient taking into account patient comfort, the condition and state of progress. Occasionally adjustments of a Chronic or severe problem may cause transient mild discomfort, but this does not persist. The relief following a successful adjustment is often remarkable.
